- The electronic variable speed control offers added tool control and enables the tool to be used at optimum conditions to suit the accessory and material
- Electro-mechanical clutch reduces the "kickback" transmitted to the operator if the cutting disc jams
- No volt release switch will prevent the unit starting when plugged in, even if the switch is in the on position. Switch must be consciously reset before power is delivered

- Overload protection will prevent the unit over heating by shutting the unit off until the unit has cooled down
- Dust ejection system removes majority of debris from the air which passes over the motor, preventing abrasion and tracking
